Welcome to Parkside Cosmetic Surgery where our fully

Parkside Cosmetic Surgery has been offering cosmetic
options to its clients since 2001, when Dr Michael J
Higgs first established the practice at its current
location on Unley Road, Parkside. Now an accredited day
care hospital facility with ACHS, with full licensing by
the SA Health Authority, patients attending the Parkside
Cosmetic Surgery can expect professional service and
care from the Surgeons, Nurses and Office Staff.
Dr Michael Higgs MB, BS (Adel) FRACGP FACCS graduated
from the University of Adelaide in 1982. He trained in
all areas of Surgery for more than 10 years before
specialising in Cosmetic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the
Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery, Member of the
Cosmetic Physicians' Society of Australasia and Member
of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. Dr
Higgs trained both in Australia and the USA and
underwent Liposculpture training with internationally
renowned Liposculpture Surgeons Dr Pierre Fournier
(Paris), Dr Gustavo Leibaschoff (Buenos Aires) and Dr
Warwick Greville (Melbourne). Dr Higgs specialises in
Liposculpture and Aesthetic Breast Surgery including
breast implants and breast augmentation by fat transfer.
He performs most procedures at Parkside Cosmetic
Surgery's fully accredited licensed Day Surgery
Facility.
Our Second Surgeon
Dr Robin Chok BM, BS graduated with a Medical Degree
from Flinders University in 1999. He has since had more
than 5 years of official surgical training under the
Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in both
Adelaide and Melbourne. Dr Chok has had extensive
experience in the fields of Plastics, Cardiothoracic
(Heart and Lung)Surgery and General Surgery. He has a
particular interest in portraiture photography providing
him with a keen eye for facial aesthetic details. Dr
Chok performs both Liposculpture and Facial Rejuvenation
at Parkside Cosmetic Surgery. Modern, safe, state of the
art dermal fillers are used, which are minimally
invasive and provide great results. Dr Chok is a member
of the Cosmetic Physicians' Society of Australasia.

In Shape Cosmetic Surgery:-
IN SHAPE COSMETIC SURGERY is a group of procedural
specialists from diverse backgrounds who have come
together because of their common interest in cosmetic
surgery. All have many years experience in their various
aspects of cosmetic surgery, and as a multi-disciplinary
group offer a unique combination of skills. In total
near 100 years as registered procedural specialists, and
all fellows of learned colleges.
Tom Frayne M.B.B.S. F.R.A.C.S. Graduated from medical
school in 1970 before undertaking post graduate study in
Ear Nose & Throat surgery in UK and Australia. He has
retired as consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital
and works entirely in private practice. Tom has been
working in facio-plastic sugery, part of ENT, practice
for many years, using conventional surgery and laser, as
well as radio frequency instruments etc. He is a member
of the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Henry Newland M.B.B.S. F.R.A.C.O. F.R.C.O. F.R.A.C.S.
F.A.F.P.H.M. M.P.H. graduated from medical school in
1971 and completed ophthalmology in 1980 with further
training at Moor fields Eye Hospital, LONDON, ST John
Eye Unit, JOHANNESBURG, and the Wilmer Eye Institute,
BALTIMORE. He has worked with W.H.O. in many countries
and also works in vitreo-retinal surgery. He has
experience using cosmetic eye and lid procedures over 20
years. A member of Australian Academy of Facial Plastic
Surgery he now specialises in laser, and blepharoplasty.
Henry is Head of Eye Unit, Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Peter Wickham M.B.B.S. F.R.A.C.S. Graduated from medical
school in 1970 and studied at the Royal college of
Surgeons, London. After working in UK he completed FRACS
in Australia, and served with RAAF in Malaysia he
continues to be associated with ADF and currently serves
as Wing Commander. His practice in Breast and Abdominal
surgery has included cosmetic breast procedures from
1980. He has done extensive cosmetic work with AASC, and
is a member of the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic
Surgery. After more than 12 months of planning he has
managed to bring together the present team at "In
Shape".
Neisha Wratten M.B.B.S. F.R.A.C.O.G. A.T.C.L. began
tertiary studies at Trinity College in the U.K. and
later graduated from the University of Queensland in
Medicine, she completed specialist training in O&G in
Brisbane, Hobart & Adelaide. She commenced private
practice in 1987 and soon realised that women are
concerned with the cosmetic and functional aspects of
their gynaecology. She joins the team at "In Shape" to
provide special expertise in this area.

Sach Day Surgery:-
Randall Sach has been in Plastic Surgery practice since
1980, undertaking a wide range of reconstructive and
aesthetic surgery procedures. He has a special interest
in hand reconstructive surgery and is active in many
organisations and educational bodies relating to these
practice areas.
He is Director of Sach Day Surgery - a specialised
facility linked to his practice to provide a convenient
high quality surgical environment.
Randall Sach commenced surgical training in Adelaide in
the 1970's, proceeding then to a Plastic Surgery career
which included overseas experience in Canniesburn
Hospital Glasgow, at the time considered the mecca of
Plastic Surgery in Europe. He entered private consulting
practice in 1980 undertaking general Plastic Surgery,
aesthetic surgery and Hand surgery. He has continued to
develop a strong special interest and reputation in
surgery of the hand.
He has been keenly interested and involved in many
professional and education bodies representing Plastic
Surgery and hand surgery. He is a past President of the
Australian Society of Plastic Surgery, has served on the
Council of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons,
served as an Examiner to the Royal Australasian College
of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, and is currently a
Councillor to the Australian Hand Surgery Society. His
other professional interests have been in the
development of Day Surgery, and establishment of Sach
Day Surgery facility to complement his professional
practice. He is also the pastChairman of the Australian
Day Surgery Council, and has been active in the
promotion of safety and standards in this progressive
area.
Education and training have always been an important
part of his professional life, and are pursued through
teaching hospital appointments as a Senior Visiting
Specialist to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Modbury
Public Hospital. He has also participated in regular
overseas voluntary aid programs in Plastic Surgery, most
recently with Interplast Australia., assisting in the
development of training and fellowship links with Sri
Lanka.
Over the past 15 years he has published and presented a
wide spectrum of scientific papers, many relating to his
strong interest in hand surgery. He continues to
undertake a leadership role in the affairs of Plastic
Surgery and Hand surgery both locally and in
Australasia.
