His surgical internship took place at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and was followed by four additional years of training in general surgery at UCLA, including the position of chief resident in general surgery. Board Certified in General Surgery, Dr. Rosenberg trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University, where he was also appointed chief resident in plastic surgery.

Dr. Rosenberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. After graduating from Stanford University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1968, Dr. Eric Okamoto went on to receive his medical degree from UCLA in 1972. His first specialty training was in Otolaryngology (Ear/Nose/Throat) at Stanford. In 1979, he achieved Board Certification in this field. Later, he trained as a plastic surgeon at the University of Wisconsin in Madison – this led to his Board Certification for this specialty in 1984 and also admission to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
